Canyon Lake Bass Fishing Report January 27, 2002

LARGEMOUTH are fair over rock piles and along chunk rock or bluff ledges on a light bite using a gray/blue flake 4″ SlidingWeight Craw Fish, pumpkin/brown 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jigs and 4″ Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) SMALLMOUTH are good in 6′-15′ on Devil’s Tongues, brown Curb’s hair jigs, chartreuse 3″ Super Tubes (www.cremelure.com). Striper and White Bass are good in 30′-40′ over ridges, humps and along points vertically jigging 1/4 – 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows and 2″ Lit’l Fishie Shads. When the get on the surface throw a 1/8 oz. Tiny Trap or No. 23 Terminator In-Line spinner (for white bass). For the Stripers try a 1/4 oz. ‘Trap, Lucky Strike topwater walker or plastic shads. FOR MORE INFO.
