Choke Canyon Bass Fishing Report January 27, 2002

Lake level 21 ft. low. Main lake temp 55, up-river 58-64. Black bass fair to 2.9 lbs……… Double carolina rigs with Jones Bait Co. triple tail shads (watermelon and blue ghost) working well with slow retrieve along the bottom. Main area of activity has been up-river with the warmer water temps…. White bass are EXCELLENT to 2 lbs…………. River run is well on it’s way, as both males and females are making their way up-river to spawn. 1 inch Mister Twister jigs (white) used in tandem has been most effective when slowly retrieved along channel edge. Main area of activity is centered between the 99 bridge and San Miguel creek up-river.
