Houston County Bass Fishing Report October 23, 2004

Fishing Report 67 degree water temperature, normal level, clear. Very good black bass with 7PM best for single bass to 5 pounds and 21 inches long on black with silver swirl worm fishing in holes in the grass beds in shallow water. Schooling bass best at 10AM behind the islands with approx 5 bass at 2 lbs each. Very good crappie with 4PM the best time catching 12 at l 1/2 pound each in 15′ water and 10′ from the surface around structure on the east end of the lake. Good catfish to 4 pounds on trot lines using mud puppies. Good large bream around crappie structure at the dam.
