Lake Fork Bass Fishing Report April 27, 2005

This week on Lake Fork the water temp is 61 main lake following a cold front that had the lows in the high thirties and the lake is at full pool. The fish are post spawn except down by the dam where you can find pre spawn and some spawning fish. The fish in the north end of the lake are feeding as they spawned early. They are in top water mode and bashing Yellow Magic and Zara Spooks when conditions are right. Otherwise a fluke or Stick-o will do the trick. I have seen some deep fish on the way out on my graph but no takers yet. The Carolina rig bite is just about to bust wide open. All we need is a little warm weather. Don’t overlook the Texas rigged lizard as we have been catching some good fish on them on points and guts in fairly shallow water. We have caught some fish on shallow crank baits too.
