Lake Fork Bass Fishing Report May 4, 2011

This week on Lake Fork the water temp. is in the low 70’s and the lake is 4 feet low. The fish are in all stages of the spawn. It is top water time! Fish can be caught by almost any technique. Yellow magic poppers are my favorite but spooks and buzz baits will also catch fish. May is the best month of the year for top water action. Spinner baits and Bandit 100’s are great shallow baits and they will get you bit. Texas rigged plastics along with shakey heads also are catching fish shallow. For the deep bite the Carolina rigs and DD22 cranks are working on long points and roadbeds. Spoons will catch fish but the deep fish are on the move after bait. This is going to be a great month! Be careful and we’ll see you on the great Lake Fork If you would like to book a trip call me at 903-765-2155 or email me at jeff@gunnsguideservice.com Please check out our sponsors and associates fine products and services: Ranger Boats, Mercury Outboards, Castaway Rods, Shimano Reels, Triple-Fish Line, Precision Marine, Costa Del Mar Polarized Sunglasses, Lake Fork Tackle, Service Marine, Owner Hooks, Bass Assassin, Weedless Lures, Pradco, Tanglefree, Superlube, Ron Kelly’s Taxidermy, Yellow Magic, Bass Pro Shops, Schumacher battery chargers and all the fine LUCAS OIL PRODUCTS including their two cycle boat oil Gunns Guide Service Joanie and Jeff Gunn 903-765-2155 611 Rains County Road 2610 Alba Texas 75410 jeff@gunnsguideservice.com www.gunnsguideservice.com
