Lake Fork Bass Fishing Report May 6, 2007

This week on Fork the weather is finally stable and the fish are biting good. The water is clearing and the level is full. Main lake water temp is 71. The fish are anywhere from 3ft to 22ft. Still a few fish on the beds but the spawn is winding down. Wednesday we had a 71/2 and have been seeing our giant bass suspending to recover from the spawn. They should be on the bite soon. Top water bite has seen improvement since the flood. Carolina rigs with French frys and lizards on points is the way to go. Watermelon with chartruse tails is the color. Spinnerbait bite is coming back and should continue to catch it share of fish. Be careful on the lake as many spots look clear of stumps but few are. Till next time tight lines.
