Lake LBJ Bass Fishing Report February 11, 2002

Male LARGEMOUTH are roaming along 4′-10′ breaklines of channels, moving with the return of the water level to normal pool. The lake is less than 1′ low after being dropped 3′ for a month for “maintenance”. Texas Red 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, 1/4 oz. Crawfish ‘Traps, a 4″ Super Tube Heavy and hard jerkbaits are all producing. CRAPPIE are also coming shallow as the water level returns. Therefore, we anticipate another great crappie season. By March they should be very accessible in 1′-3’ of water. Try red/chartreuse or blue/white Solid Tubes (Creme Lures), white or chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb’s crappie jigs or live minnows.
