Lake LBJ Bass Fishing Report July 15, 2004

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 84 degrees; 824.82′: Black Bass are good at night and first light at the top of channel break-lines on 1/4 oz. blue/chart Terminator ( spinnerbaits, cranking black Photon glow crankbaits ( 3″ plastic swimbaits and black buzzbaits. During the heat of the day we work boat docks by skipping and “deadsticking” a 4″ watermelon/red Whacky Stick( or wacky rigged chameleon/blue Scoundrel worm on a “K” Wacky Hook ( as far under the dock as possible. Try adding a drop of Pro’s Soft Bait Glue ( the hookeye when rigging soft plastics to keep them from slipping. Stripers are good to 20″ at night using 2″ Lit’l Fishie Shads, #5 Terminator In-Line spinners and free-lining live perch. White Bass are excellent (40-60 fish/night trip) at night to 2 lbs on 1-1/2″ Lit’l Fishie, white Curb’s crappie jigs and #3 Terminator titanium In-Line spinners.
