Canyon Lake Bass Fishing Report September 3, 2001

Surface activity improving with increased inflow into the lake. Look for surface activity along 12′ breaklines and throw an 1/8th oz. white or white/char. Tiny-T spinnerbaits, Spin Trap or small Yozuri popper for fish in the 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lb. class. Early and late bass are roaming chunk rock banklines. Plastic jerkbaits. wacky rigged Ice Tea or Chameleon worms and 1/4 oz. Terminator jigs with Disc Craw trailers will all produce. SMALLMOUTH are holding in 6′-14′ along dropoffs and points of gravel flats. Smoke/red flake or crawfish 4″ Super Tubes (by Creme Lures) and pumpkin/char.
