Despite the wind that we have had for the past 6 weeks we have been grinding out some good fish in Galveston Bay. Naturally the bigger fish are coming on the days that the winds blow the least. Wading protected shorelines throwing Bass Assassins and topwater baits has produced some good catches over the past couple of months. On days when the wind wasn’t just ripping we have been boating solid trout from open water reefs. Scattered bird activity has kept us busy for the last few weeks and should continue on into June. Speckled trout action will continue to strengthen as the May winds come to an end. June is always a prime fishing month in the Galveston Bay so don’t miss out. Good fishing…Bill Cannan
