Lower Laguna Madre Bass Fishing Report May 1, 2001

Trout fishing/catching is fantastic with my charters limiting most days with stringer weight getting close to 3# average. Redfish finally starting to show up in numbers worth fishing with a few oversized fish burning up the drags.Without sounding redundant this is shaping up to be a very good year for trout in the lower laguna madre (Port Isabel/ So. Padre Island) Most weekends are booked through July but the bay is less congested weekdays so give me a call at 1-800-943-6282 and get your trip planned for an unforgetable fishing trip in our little bit of “Heaven” Remember When selecting a guide EXPERIANCE counts. Capt. Lou Austin
