Sam Rayburn Bass Fishing Report February 27, 2001

The fishing is great on Rayburn right now. The lake level is staying near full pool or higher. The fish are pulling up and trying to spawn. On warm sunny days you can see them sunning and even some spawning already. Fish the back end of the pockets and make long cast. Gambler Swacky worms have been the best producers. Flukes and jerkbaits are also catching shallow fish. Some anglers are catching good fish out deeper on spinnerbaits and carolina rigs fishing from the inside grass line up to the bushes. Good Luck.
