Striper Fishing On Lake Texoma Saturday, July 19. Lake level: 616.16. Water Temperature: 83 degrees. Water clarity: Clear. Generation: 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Floodgates: Closed. Weather: low 74 / high 93 / sunny with a light south wind. Fishing time: 5:30 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. The summer heat is no reason to keep you off the water. Always get an early start, use sunscreen and drink plenty of water before you get thirsty and enjoy a great day of striper fishing. You should be able to catch a limit before it gets too hot. Captain Joe Grigar left the dock with the Mitch Williams party of five just before daylight. All of the rods had ounce and a half chartreuse and white slabs tied on. The action started about fifteen minutes later just off TI point. With four and five fish on at a time, the group had boated forty fish before 8:30 a.m. The ten year old boy had caught the most silversides and the seven year old boy had the largest striper (see pictures). After the large school of fish were lost, Captain Grigar moved north three miles and found another school to finish out the limit.
