Richland Chambers Guide Steve Schmidt Lake Report: Monday, January 3,2001 (dated fished Jan 2, 2001) Water Color: Clear to 1 ft Depth: Normal Water Temp: 51 to 53 Deg Forecast: Cold with a High of 48 winds out of the north east 5 to 10 Boat Ramp: Oak Cove Marina Equipment: Rod – Lamiglas XC-687 Reel -Spidercast SCP-600 Line-P-line 10lb Lure- 5/8 oz S.O.B jig (www.soblures.com) Color- Blue/Black, Black with a #1 pork trailer Black Bass: Happy New Year to all. Well I have to say this report will be going be pretty much the same is the last time I reported. I will be still working my same pattern a Good Ole Jig and Pig. The boat docks will be my first stop. The Blue House point and Jones Branch off the edge of the creek. Remember take your time out on the water you might only get one or two bites but they will be quality fish. Tips: This time of year is also good if you don’t like to weather the cold, you might want to any repairs and maintenance on you boat or tackle. If you have your old Christmas tree or maybe you get your neighbor’s as well and take them to the lake and dump them in the water. Mark your spot with your GPS so you can come right back to it. Mark it with your graph once you drop it and then come back and look then you will see lots of fish. You will be able to put some fish in your boat. It will take a week and you will and you will be able to pull some fish off these great fish habitat. You will want to make sure you dress warm; you can never have to many clothes on, because as it warms you can always take off items.
