Christmas Travelers Trapped on Texas Highways

Anyone with information regarding actions by the state to rescue stranded travelers on Texas highway 287 west of Wichita Falls please contact the Texas SportsGuide.

Do you have any news on actions to rescue thousands of stranded motorists who have been trapped on Hwy 287 northwest of Wichita Falls,
Texas?  Between Wichita Falls and Electra our family has been stranded since 2:00 Christmas Eve, over 16 hours now.

Texas DPS and DOT are unreachable by phone and no information is available on there websites regarding this emergency.

Electra, Texas Police Department says they have no idea when the highway will be reopened or stranded travelers will be rescued.
