Much needed rains have the lake rising with muddy conditions. Look for the bass holding tight to structure and moving up with the rising water. Buzz baits, spinner baits, top water plugs, shallow diving cranks in shad colors and soft plastics fished in shallow grass, along main lake points and around the mouths of the creeks should all start producing well. Jigs in black/blue, camo and brown/orange and C.R. or Texas rigs with soft plastics in watermelon and June-bug also working well when fished over brush tops and along river channel shelf where the drains and creeks dump into the river channel. Shad starting to move into the bays and pockets, look for the bass to follow. White Bass moving up the main lake river channel and holding along the sand- bars in 16 to 20 ft of water. Crappie and Yellow bass holding around brush tops in 16 to 20 ft. of water along the river channel shelf and ledges. Shiners and jigs working best.
