Fishing Report Lake Texoma Friday, March 23, 2001 Lake level: 617.66 Water Temperature: 50 degrees Water clarity: Stained/Muddy Generating: 2 generators 24 hours Floodgates: Closed Weather: high 72 / low 53, sunny/calm Fishing time: Friday, 7:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m Stripers came slow today. Fishing shallow water with sassy shad and horsehead jigs produced 14 silversides to 5.5 pounds. The most excitement of the day came when a 7 feet, 1 inch, 139.5 pound Alligator Gar was landed after a thirty minute battle.
