Striper Fishing On Lake Texoma Friday, August 3. Lake level: 613.55. Water Temperature: 84 degrees. Water clarity: Clear. Generation: 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Floodgates: Closed. Weather: low 74 / high 93 / partly cloudy with a light southerly wind. Fishing time: 6:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Everyone must have heard how good the summer fishing is this year. The lake is covered with boas enjoying catching the silversides. Captain Joe Grigar took the Steve Ewing group out early Friday for a morning fishing adventure. The three had no trouble mastering how to fish with slabs. The four finished up landing their limit of 40 stripers in the Washita arm of the lake. Warning!!! Be careful!!! The lake level is very low. Many places you are used to boating are very shallow. The best bet is to stay away from the bank. Have fun catching stripers and practice safe boating. Report submitted by: Tinker’s Striper Guide Service, http://www.tinker.net To see pictures of last weeks catch go to: http://www.tinker.net/fishpics12.html Bass fishing is fair up to 4 lbs. Lots of small fish. Worms in brush piles and around shallow structure taking fish. Fish are still holding on floating structure. Try pitching jigs or tubes in Black and Blue or white. Smallmouth slow to fair at night on dark colored crankbaits and spinners along dam and on rocks. Topwaters on points early always a good summer bet. Gars are taking frayed line on spoons as well as bass baits. They are fun to catch sight fishing. Report submitted by professional guide J. B. Webb
