Lake Level: 173.17 ft, (172 ft high pool) Clarity: Muddy Temp: upper 50s to lower 60s Continued heavy rains have muddied the north end and kept the water temperature low which is keeping the bass from moving into the shallow spawning flats. SRA has opened eleven flood gates pulling a lot of water out of the lake. Work the points and creek bends in 6 to 8 ft of water with Crank baits and soft plastics. The bite is slow. As the water clears and warms back up the Bass will start moving back into the shallow flats and flooded buck brush in 2 to 4 ft of water. Spinner baits, tubes, brush-hogs, jigs and stick baits working best. White Bass concentrate in the flooded sloughs off the river channel with 1/4 to 1/2 oz. Chrome/ blue back traps, and chartreuse or white road runners. Note that most of the boat ramps have been closed along the river because of flooding conditions. Some Crappie being caught in the creeks leading to the backs of the coves. Chartreuse jigs and shiners working best.
