Striper Fishing On Lake Texoma Sunday, August 13. Lake level: 613.10. Water Temperature: 85 degrees. Water clarity: Clear. Generation: 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Friday, not generating Saturday and Sunday. Weather: low 71 / high 92 / cloudy with a light wind. Fishing time: 6:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. A thunderstorm passed just to the south of us early Monday morning causing the stripers to go into a feeding frenzy. Captain Joe Grigar left the dock just before daylight with the James Terrell party of three from Weston, Texas. By 7:30 they had landed thirty silversides using live shad. It was catch and release for the next three hours. Everyone had big smiles and sore arms when they returned to the dock with forty stripers to six pounds. Stripers have been feeding from the Frisco railroad bridge to the dam on the edges of the old river channel. Warning!!! Be careful!!! The rain missed us again this week and the lake level is very low and still dropping. Many places you are used to boating are very shallow. Have fun catching fish and practice safe boating. Report submitted by: Tinker’s Striper Guide Service, http://www.tinker.net To see pictures of last weeks catch go to: http://www.tinker.net/fishpics12.html Bass fishing is fair to good. Topwaters on windy points are catching fish all day. Plastics in shallow to mid depth brush and tubes and jigs in and around floating structure. No report on crappie. Catfish are good in deep water from the bank. Big gar are still hitting. Lake is 613 and dropping, clear 86-90 degrees. Report submitted by professional guide J. B. Webb
