Speckled trout fishing has been great all week. Fished with Dr. Tony Saca Wed. limited on Trout 20 fish that weighed 55#. Fished Fri.@ Sat with Bob Stout and Betty Keith from Dallas: overall for the two days was 60 trout (limit),5 reds 2 black drum and one large lonely 4# flounder—total weight 154# I won`t report the hardheads that Bob caught. Some fish starting to show up in the Intercoastal and as I`ve been saying; looks like a real great year for the lower laguna madre (Port Isabel/ So. Padre Island) Redfish are here, we just need the wind to turn them on; the night fisherman are catching them so at this time they are feeding at night, this will change very soon and redfish as well as trout will be the report.–Booking fast for Apr.@ May so call your reservations in as soon as you know when you are going to be in the area.
