The surface temps are starting to warm back up as the lake continues to rise. The shallow bite is picking up as the warm gets back near the lower 60s. You may need to get your boat way back into the trees or behind the brush to catch good fish. We caught fish up to 5lbs yesterday on Gambler Swacky worms up in the trees and bushes. Every swacky worm fish came on greenpumpkin. We did catch a couple on a 3/8oz Stanley spinnerbait chrt/wht up in the trees. If you don’t want to get your boat up into the brush you can catch plenty of fish carolina rigging finesse worms in cotton candy. We caught several fish draggin points or inside grass lines in 10 – 14ft. We did not catch any big fish doing this but all the rig fish were keepers. If you would like to book a trip on Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend please email me or call (409)698-2227. Good Luck.
