Early work shallow grass close to deep water with top water plugs, buzz baits, spinner baits and soft finesse plastics. Look for grass that is starting to show up on main lake humps and ridges in 4 to 8 ft. of water. When sun gets overhead, back out to deeper water. Mid diving crank baits in shad colors and Texas or Carolina rigged plastics in crabapple, June bug or watermelon working best. Look for schooling bass mid day. Shallow diving chrome or shad colored crank baits and top water plugs working best when schooling. Bream: Most of the Bream have finished spawning and are moving back into deep water. Crickets and worms working best. Catfish: Good reports of Catfish being caught on trot-lines using live and cut bait. Crappie: Crappie moving into the creeks and deep water sloughs in 14 to 20 ft of water. Jigs and shiners working best when fished over brush tops. White Bass: Whites starting to school mid day off main lake points and close to the river channel. Rinky Dink tail spinners, chrome traps and shallow diving shad colored crank baits working best.
