Lake Level: 168.2 ft and falling one to two inches per day Water Temp: upper 80s, Clarity: clear Good numbers of small bass being caught in 6 to 10 ft of water along outside grass edges on soft plastics. Larger fish are scattered and suspended in 16 to 20ft of water. Crank baits and soft plastics continue to be best bet on catching bass along river channel shelf and main lake ridge points dropping into deep- water sloughs. Deep diving cranks in Fire-tiger or shad colors and watermelon or crabapple working best in plastics. Early work shallow grass close to deep water with top water plugs, buzz baits, spinner baits and soft finesse plastics. When sun gets overhead, back out to deeper water using soft plastics and mid diving crank baits. Look for schooling bass mid day. Shallow diving chrome or shad colored crank baits and top water plugs working best when schooling. Cooling temperatures should help increase the bass activity.
